Property Tax Education Program
The Illinois Department of Revenue’s education program provides instruction in areas where the Department has a direct involvement in the assessment process. Candidates to the offices of Township Assessor, Chief County Assessment Officer, and Board of Review must meet certain educational qualifications to be eligible to be appointed, elected, or contracted to office.
