Illinois Department of Revenue Responsibility

Money collected from establishments with video gaming machines is reported to the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB). The distribution each local government will receive is reported by IGB to the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR). It is the responsibility of IDOR to certify the distributions to the Office of the Illinois State Comptroller (Comptroller). The Comptroller will distribute the money to the local governments (See 230 ILCS 40/75).
