What is the MyDec Program?

MyDec at MyTax Illinois is a free online program which allows individuals, law firms, settlement agencies, and title companies to submit, approve, or reject real property transfer tax declarations for participating counties. MyDec allows users to electronically submit:

•  State of Illinois Forms PTAX-203, 203-A, and 203-B
•  City of Chicago Form 7551 – Real Property Transfer Tax Declaration
•  Real Property Transfer Tax Declarations for participating counties.

Additionally, users can authorize and print electronic stamps, view declarations already created, track the status of submitted declarations, and make corrections to declarations during the recording process.

A list of participating counties can be found on the MyDec home page, however all counties are eligible to participate. For counties that are not currently participating, the county recorder should begin the enrollment process by contacting us at Rev.MyDecAdmin@illinois.gov.

Note: Until a county transitions into the MyDec system, the current process for that county’s real property transfer declarations, including the issuing of paper revenue stamps, should be followed.

For more information, see the MyDec webpage.
