Possible online services disruption due to Internet related outage

A worldwide technology outage is causing disruption to some State of Illinois online systems.  We are aware of this issue and are diligently working on restoration.

Do I have to use an electronic deposit or payment option if I file my return through MyTax Illinois?

No. An electronic direct deposit of your refund or electronic debit of the amount you owe is available after you have submitted your return, but you are not required to use this option. If you do not want to have your refund directly deposited, do not complete the direct deposit information and select to receive your refund by the paper check option. If you do not want to have the amount you owe directly debited from your checking or savings account, you may pay by credit card or check.
