If I am mandated to file Forms ST-556 and ST-556-LSE electronically but am unable to do so, how may I request a waiver?

Retailers who demonstrate that they do not have access to the Internet or demonstrate hardship in filing electronically may petition the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR) to waive the electronic filing requirement. 35 ILCS 105/9; 35 ILCS 120/3. Contact Taxpayer Assistance at 1 800 732-8866 or 217 782-3336 to request a waiver form. Complete the waiver form and mail it to the address listed on the form. IDOR will notify you if the waiver request is approved or denied.
